maurometallo Posted April 9, 2009 Share #2 Posted April 9, 2009 Well done, jaapv! I have never been inside a windmill and your excellent documentary gave me the opportunity to take a nice close look. Thank you.

azzo Posted April 10, 2009 Share #4 Posted April 10, 2009 Jaap, I agree with the above comments. Excellently taken and presented ...all.
elansprint72 Posted April 10, 2009 Share #5 Posted April 10, 2009 Very well-done informative series; I've never seen a bob-weight governor in a wind-mill before. Historically a friction brake was used to stop the mill "running away" in unexpected high winds but this was a tricky business and sometimes resulted in a fire! stuny Posted April 10, 2009 Share #6 Posted April 10, 2009 Jaap - Excellent composition, light, detail and color. I have some windmill interior shots in the 3rd and 4th pages of Malta photo gallery on our site. Ivan - Take the ferry to Gozo and visit the Ta' Kola Windmill Museum. You can go virtually anyplace inside.
