Carl,

maybe confusing for somebody who is not so familiar with the old M-system (sorry for causing confusion!).

For the driver-shots i used the M8+VisoflexIII+Leitz OTZFO+head of TE-135 (the black tube in this shot).

For my macroshots i use the M-bellow II instead of the OTZFO and added the "compendium" on the front (this picture).

I just want to show, that it´s possible to use that old stuff. Not that i use it daily.

The M8 + Viso + OTZFO + TE135-head is by far not as bulky and big as this combination you see here.

Maybe I have a shot available on my powerbook at home.

Carl, this is playing with toys, but it´s possible as you can see from the posted pictures.

I must clearly mention that the Visoflex is NOT made for the M8 :D

The Crop of 1.33 gives you a crop of what you see in the finder. But with a little testing it works better than using a 135 lens without Visoflex.

One could also sign the frame of the crop on the Viso-screen for one or two focal-lenghts. But again: The M8 is not made for 135mm focal length!

However, with a visoflex attached you are using it as a reflex camera and the limitations on focussing accuracy with the rangefinder do not apply. So why not? Why not even with longer lenses -- and closer focussing? Your black and white pictures with the TE135 look terrific.

John, that´s why i tried this combination. It gives a nice 180 mm on the M8 and focussing is not an issue as a reflex-camera. I never tried a 135 with the rangefinder, for my taste even with the 0,72 finder of my MP 90 mm is the limit.

The Viso-combination gives me more freedom on my travels, with one or two extension-rings i have a nice macro and without a nice tele.

One point: The position of the release-button is a little bit different to the other M´s, the Viso-finger does not meet the button of the camera in the center. But it works.
