andit Posted March 5, 2009 Share #1 Posted March 5, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi Guys, I was in two minds as to putting these up on the forum, but here they are anyway. These were taken from an inspection gallery, halfway across the dam wall of the Swakop Poort Dam, 140km from Windhoek in Namibia. Being a desert country, it does not happen often that our dams overflow, so this becomes a huge event here. M8, 50mm Cron, f/5.6, 1/2000 Sec, ISO 160. Thanks for looking, all comment welcome. imported_peter_m Posted March 5, 2009 Share #2 Posted March 5, 2009 Very refreshing. The color shot is my favorite, for me it has the most life. Peter
stuny Posted March 5, 2009 Share #3 Posted March 5, 2009 andreas - I too like the color best, but the detail and composition are strong enough to make its B&W version a winner, too.
vdb Posted March 5, 2009 Share #4 Posted March 5, 2009 #2 is my favorite. Abstract but with clarity. Great tonality and framing.
samwells Posted March 11, 2009 Share #5 Posted March 11, 2009 Agree with vdb - there's an almost totemic feel to the image. cheers: Sam
vla Posted March 11, 2009 Share #6 Posted March 11, 2009 Andreas, #2 is wunderbar - I personally think it's more expressive in B/W than in color, even though your color range is very pleasing. Cheers, Markus
