robsteve Posted October 22, 2006 Share #1 Posted October 22, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) As Andy Barton suggested, sports that are do not have wheels in them are very uncommon here. Today I decided to get some fresh air and shoot a bit of University soccer. All of these were with the DMR and 400mm lens.

Great colors from your kit, that's what impresses me the most...that and the perfect exposure on every one of them. Thanks for sharing! Allan

robsteve Posted October 28, 2006 Author Share #12 Posted October 28, 2006 These shots are simpy INCREDIBLE. Very dimensional. -Norm I shot quite a bit with a Canon 400mm f2.8 IS and while it can be sharper than the Leica 400mm, it didn't give that 3D look. Incidentally, the Leica 400mm APO was sharper at 2.8 than the Canon. The Canon got sharper than the Leica between f4-f5.6, but the Leica still had the 3D look. It might be that the Canon gets the coarse detail sharper, while the Leica has a more refined overall sharpness.
