A couple of us met this last Saturday night to photograph the Chinese New Year parade in San Francisco (evidently the largest in the US). I thought I would create a thread to post the images.

Leica M8 with 35mm Summilux ASPH lens.

Thanks for looking.

William,

I missed this thread and started another. Here is my first image from the evening. I hope you had a good time, as usual we all got preoccupied and scattered.

You've managed to pull your signature color out of what I image was some difficult light.

It looks like you all had a great time. The first photo's the most interesting for me...I'd even like a tighter crop. Nicely done all around, though.

Thanks all. Yes Maurizio, 35mm only. Sorry that you and Jon couldn't make it to this event as well. Caryl, next year it is!

Kirk, sorry I couldn't find you after we initially met up as I had a 50mm in my sack that went unused all night that I would have leant you.

Kent, I really like all your images but the one of the little girl watching the parade is great.

William,

Thanks. I actually was looking for a shot like this to no avail at first. After talking to someone for a few minutes the scene was right before me. Ilove when that happens :)
