Gaal Posted January 16, 2011 Share #6741 Posted January 16, 2011 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) No, not a monastery, not exactly, though there are rooms that used to be for priests. I stayed there (renting a room) for some 7 days a few years ago. Today it is more a tourist visit, very popular for the people living close by they go there for breakfast or just coffee, the view is truly amazing from up there. And I would no t say montain, but inbewteen hill and mountain. By the way, the village it belongs too is a village where a famous painter lived for several years because of health problems Hope it helps gaal Edited January 16, 2011 by Gaal

Gaal Posted January 16, 2011 Share #6751 Posted January 16, 2011 Yes Michael, Mont Roig is the village where he lived on and off since he was 18 until his death. You are about 300 to 500 meters from the place shown on the picture. Picture here is Mont Roig taken from "the place" Good luck Gaal Welcome, dear visitor! Michael Geschlecht Posted January 16, 2011 Share #6753 Posted January 16, 2011 Hello Gaal, Thank you. I am somewhat inexperienced w/ computers & do not know how to put a photo on this Thread. A number of Forum members have tried to help in the past but I just don't have the knack for it yet. Therefore I think I will pass to esquire53 unless he is too busy playing the guitar. I will PM him & find out. Best Regards, Michael

Gaal Posted January 17, 2011 Share #6758 Posted January 17, 2011 (edited) La Roca - Ermita de la Virgen, but I cede to Michael - he gave the final shove. As far as I am concerned Jaap is the winner, but as you gave up your turn and so did Michael, I just congratulared all of you. Remember i asked for: Name of the place and if possible of the village it belongs to So the ermit was the answer to give as given by Jaap, the village was "if possible" please give it as well. Cheers Jaap ! Edited January 17, 2011 by Gaal
