That rocky coastline and golf - Scotland? In which case it could be the high road. Or, alternatively, the low road.

17 mile drive is correct. For the record, this was not Peble Beach but -- if I remember correctly -- The Links at Spanish Bay.

yes it is the links at spanish bay at pebble beach...its confusing i know. pebble has 3 of its own courses.

spanish bay, spy glass, and pebble beach. all at pebble beach.

im very excited to have tickets for this yrs. us open! and tiger better get his act together and show up!

 

ok then, back at you more golf!

this is one of my favorite courses. i love to play it, and look at it.

what course are you on?

On second thought, maybe it's the Trump National, the former Ocean Trails course. I don't think you can see the isthmus of Catalina Island so well from Pelican Hill.

 

you got it!

trump national looking at santa catalina! 27 miles out to sea...

the little dip on the island towards the right is the Isthmus. one of the two

harbors. that was the telling element of the photo.

 

btw i did not know catalina was part of the channel islands!
