Advertisement Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 Hi etibeti, Take a look here "Do you know the world ?" -- Competition --. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
rob_x2004 Posted December 7, 2009 Share #2842 Posted December 7, 2009 Ok I'm in trouble. Asked for route and mountain, Jaap got in first with half, so I guess he gets the run. Mount Ngauruhoe is on the Tongariro crossing route, which sees on average over a thousand tourists a week, and, and has been seen by however many people saw PJs Lord of the Ring's as Mt Doom. Mount Ngauruhoe is on the Tongariro crossing route, which sees on average over a thousand tourists a week, and, and has been seen by however many people saw PJs Lord of the Ring's as Mt Doom. Seems that jaap does not know that's his turn. I'll send him a PM.

psquared Posted December 9, 2009 Share #2849 Posted December 9, 2009 Hope you're feeling better, Jaap. Is that a leopard on the mantel? The decor suggests leopard. So, are we in Africa?
stuny Posted December 10, 2009 Share #2850 Posted December 10, 2009 It appears to be a hotel sitting room, though I would not guess in Africa.
doubice Posted December 10, 2009 Share #2851 Posted December 10, 2009 It appears to be a hotel sitting room, though I would not guess in Africa. But Jaap has just returned from Africa...... What are we guessing here - country, park, hotel........ Are you saying historical place and you just returned form Africa - has a certain dr. Livingstone stayed here? jaapv Posted December 10, 2009 Share #2852 Posted December 10, 2009 (edited) Indeed a hotel sitting room. The oldest hotel in that particular town. In the 1930-ies an unique car ralley started there. Yes -in Africa, and not Livingstone. I don't believe he ever stayed in any hotel there -there weren't any on the routes he travelled. Melampus Posted December 11, 2009 Share #2860 Posted December 11, 2009 Not Monument Valley I think, but maybe Canyonlands or Arches, Utah. Somehow I don't think it's quite right though, the rocks look to rounded.... Cheers, -Peter
