And the only remaining city and country where it is still used? The answer is where this photo was taken with my Leica Q. Welcome, dear visitor! war Posted August 28, 2019 Share #18870 Posted August 28, 2019 The fishermen are dressed like Indians. In India they use these Cheenavalas (Chinese origin?) contraptions on their shores. So, someplace in India.
stuny Posted August 29, 2019 Share #18871 Posted August 29, 2019 I've seen this in Kerela, near Cochin.
m410 Posted August 29, 2019 Share #18872 Posted August 29, 2019 Yes and Yes. Chinese fishing nets still used which function using the in/out ocean currents at the entrance to the Indian port of Cochin. Funny that Chinese fishing nets are no longer used in China, now only India. Thanks for playing, David

war Posted September 4, 2019 Share #18879 Posted September 4, 2019 Myanmar? Perhaps Mandalay or Inle Lake area
stuny Posted September 4, 2019 Share #18880 Posted September 4, 2019 Wally - You have the country, but it's not Mandalay, nor Inle (inle is my favorite venue in Myanmar). Here are some more bridge photos to perhaps help you win it. Welcome, dear visitor!
