OK, best just get this thread moving again...

 

Glasgow it is, Robert, so your turn next..

 

Note: The building in the background is the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. One of Glasgow's most-loved buildings, it was the work of a London-based architectural team, and the city's museums department  describes its style as "Spanish Baroque" (see here).      

The two bronze figures in the foreground of the photo are Philosophy (left) and Inspiration (right), and this is one of four pairs of statues which adorn the Kelvin Way Bridge, behind the museum. More on these here

 

Finally, another view of Kelvingrove, showing how late afternoon sunlight from the can illumine the red sandstone, the key hallmark of Glasgow's late C19/ early C20 heritage.

So Robert, that's why I'm amazed that you discerned Glasgow in my B&W-converted image!
