ok- the lake is somewhat obscure so this is my last clue- the lake is situated next to this well known celebrated lake:

yes the second lake pictured is indeed the (somewhat) famous and amazingly absurdly blue "Blue Lake" of Mt Gambier...Which isn't glacial BTW- it is volcanic in origin and the exact cause of the blueness is somewhat of a mystery.

 

However Leg of Mutton lake is dry and has been for some decades if memory serves me correctly... The lake we need is very near- a matter of a few hundred meters...

OK, I'm currently traveling and have only access to some limited pictures.

 

the picture is taken from a nice, well known fish restaurant at the very south end of the host city of the next Olympics ...
