Gentlemen, I realize that posting a picture from Africa may be a bit difficult, so I will provide an additional clue in the picture below - this shows what this body of water looks like if I turn my head 180 degrees from where I took the original image and make a few steps backwards.

Could it be the Kabarega falls on the river Nile in Uganda?

The river is indeed the Nile and the country is Uganda, and the vantage point is Murchison Falls, also known as Kabarega Falls. So, correct answer and over to you, Lieven.

The building makes me think of the ramps to aircraft gates in some European and South American cities, but I doubt it is at an airport. Perhaps it's in Amsterdam, and most likely northern Europe.
