Ueno is home to some of Tokyo's famous cultural sites such as the Tokyo National Museum, the National Museum of Western Art and the National Science Museum plus Bentendo Temple. And the most popular attraction i.e. Ueno Zoo & Park.

Hopefully, I struck out with my guesses. I stiil have some old Leica photos in my Bento box.

Hello Everybody,

It looks like people in China are making the same mistake that is made in much of the Industrialized/Industrializing World: Using farmland as an easy, inexpensive way to build new housing. Too bad.

Once farmland is converted to housing it is often impossible to return it to being productive farmland w/o extraordinary cost & effort. @ the same time the availability of locally grown food is diminished thereby putting an even larger stress on the transportation system of a region which creates more problems.

Best Regards,

Michael

Noriko - correct, over to you. These are the terraced rice fields in Longshan, China. I cropped out the fields to show only the houses / hotels. There are a lot of fields and few houses / small hotels. I have attached another view of the Longshan rice fields. There are also other terraced rice fields in Yuanyang in Yunnan Province(China).
