allamande Posted January 18, 2009 Share #5 Posted January 18, 2009 The lace-like branches and vegetation somehow make the giant look delicate! Fantastic image. Ece
stuny Posted January 18, 2009 Share #6 Posted January 18, 2009 Mike - Excellent in all your usual ways, but add to that the angle which seems to say "photographer is on foot" and then I am amazed. I'm also amazed you survived to get the shot back to us, especially considering the focal length.
petewayne Posted January 18, 2009 Share #7 Posted January 18, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) what a fantastic image.......the play of light through the canopy is well depicted in B&W and the elephant almost camouflages into the background.....one of those images where the second and third look reveals more! michali Posted January 19, 2009 Author Share #11 Posted January 19, 2009 Mike - Excellent in all your usual ways, but add to that the angle which seems to say "photographer is on foot" and then I am amazed. I'm also amazed you survived to get the shot back to us, especially considering the focal length. Thank you all very much for your kind comments, which I really appreciate. Was walking through a forest and heard him approaching from some distance away. I sat down very quietly under a tree and waited for him to move on, I couldn't resist the temptation to take a pic as he came past.
