stunsworth Posted December 31, 2008 Share #1 Posted December 31, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) A warm pub this afternoon in a very chilly Chester. The sign made me smile - nearly as much as the posh bloke who asked the barman if the Budvar lager was alcohol free. jmr Posted December 31, 2008 Share #2 Posted December 31, 2008 Well spotted Steve. The punters were rather unusual - we four blended in nicely.
stunsworth Posted January 1, 2009 Author Share #3 Posted January 1, 2009 Thanks John, one of the advantages of having my back to the rest of the room was that I couldn't see the other people in the pub. They did _sound_ like an odd lot though.
andybarton Posted January 1, 2009 Share #4 Posted January 1, 2009 It's not alcohol free, but it still tastes like piss Anyway, it's always nice to be the youngest in a pub
stunsworth Posted January 1, 2009 Author Share #5 Posted January 1, 2009 It's not alcohol free, but it still tastes like piss Andy, I think you are confusing Budvar with Budweisser. Budvar is from Eastern Europe, is my favourite lager and is a totally different experience from Budweisser - i.e. pleasurable. It was strange to be in a pub surrounded by people who were too old to be Leica users. That's something of a first.
