stunsworth Posted October 10, 2006 Share #1 Posted October 10, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks again to everyone that took part, as said earlier I think we all had a great day, I'm sure the weather compared to previous years made a big difference. What I'd like the participents to do now is to email me their submissions when ready. My email address can be found by clicking on my profile name - there should be an option to send me an email. In case anyone struggles, my email address is leica-at-steveunsworth.co.uk - replace the '-at-' with '@'. You may also supply a title for the image if you wish. If that doesn't work send me a private message, however I'd prefer an email as the number of private message is restricted in number. Once all the the images have been received I'll remove any exif data and then post the images and their titles to a new page on my website and provide a link from here. The images will be in a random sequence with an identifying letter. I decided to post the images to my website as they can then all be seen on one screen - the new forum software only allows for a limited number of images in a post and I don't want to spread the images across several posts. When people vote can I please ask that they make clear their preference - for example 1st = A, 2nd = B etc. I want to try and avoid any confusion regarding the three chosen images. Good luck to all who took part.
Advertisement Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 Hi stunsworth, Take a look here The One Challenge 2006 - what happens next. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
erl Posted October 15, 2006 Share #2 Posted October 15, 2006 O.K! Just a gentle stir of the possum. I have made my final selection of three from which I will choose the final one to submit. Actually, I have made THE final choice, but want to sleep on it. So, guys and gals, get you contenders ready and send 'em in. Judging by my own shoot out, I reckon once the 'comp' is over, we are going to have a smorgasboard of posting "the one I nearly used". I bet the 'out takes' we all come up with will be very interesting. Cheers, Erl
stunsworth Posted October 15, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted October 15, 2006 I'm sure many of us will have selected the wrong shot :-) Remember to keep the maximun dimension to 700 pixels as mentioned in the rules - just to keep the file sizes managable. erl Posted October 15, 2006 Share #4 Posted October 15, 2006 Ah! the rules. I never thought of reading them. I was going to ask you what size images you wanted. Cheers, Erl
pascal_meheut Posted October 21, 2006 Share #5 Posted October 21, 2006 BTW, I saw Steve's images but did anyone else post his non selected images?
andybarton Posted October 21, 2006 Share #6 Posted October 21, 2006 I posted one that got away. http://www.leica-camera-user.com/landscape-travel/6956-louvre.html
stunsworth Posted October 21, 2006 Author Share #7 Posted October 21, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) BTW, I saw Steve's images but did anyone else post his non selected images? Hi Pascal, those weren't the non-selected images. All the ones I've posted so far were taken on the Sunday. I'll probably post the 'real' non-selected ones once the voting has finished. Speaking of voting, I've only received about half of the expected entries so far. If anyone's having problems emailing their entry to me, let me know. pascal_meheut Posted October 21, 2006 Share #8 Posted October 21, 2006 'll probably post the 'real' non-selected ones once the voting has finished. Yes, I was wondering if posting them before the voting was a good idea. I'll probably wait too...
cboudier Posted October 21, 2006 Share #9 Posted October 21, 2006 I wont... Atmosphere during the One Challenge was very friendly, lets maintain it.
erl Posted October 21, 2006 Share #10 Posted October 21, 2006 Been a bit busy lately, but I will shortly post some "non" One Challenge pics from Paris. I have always believed you do not have to go to exotic locations to make good pics, but after my recent trip I am inclined to believe it helps! Am I getting slack? Cheers, Erl

Steve, I have held off for now as none are good, but since I must post one, I am having it printed so that I can scan it and send it probably Tuesday the 31st. I reckon it's not too late? For the first two Challenges, at least one stood out as a possible but this time it'hard to commit myself. Thank God they're posted anonimously! stunsworth Posted October 25, 2006 Author Share #12 Posted October 25, 2006 That's not a problem Philippe, there's plenty of time left. I've had about two thirds of the entrants in so far.
cbretteville Posted October 25, 2006 Share #13 Posted October 25, 2006 Steve, I've just gotten around to develop the roll I shot. Expect I make my secection over the week end. The mrs. is on the same schedule - more or less. - Carl
earleygallery Posted October 26, 2006 Share #14 Posted October 26, 2006 I will submit my photo by the weekend. Finally decided which one!
stunsworth Posted October 26, 2006 Author Share #15 Posted October 26, 2006 Thanks guys (and gal!), I'll post the album once I've received all the entries even if it's earlier than the date mentioned in the initial 'rules'. I'm sure you all want to see, and vote on ;-), the entries ASAP. All I'll say at this stage is that it looks as if the photographs could be the best so far - perhaps a bit of sun and a lack of rain had something to do with this :-). At some point I guess we'll have to start deciding where to hold the next one.

Well, Melbourne Australia is guaranteed to deliver up ALL seasons in one day, so I recommend, and invite, all to come here for "The One Challenge, 2007". Whatever weather you prefer, we have it! We say: If you don't like the weather, just hold your breath, it will change! P.S. Exciting that I infer from Steve's comment that one of the ladies has entered. Would that be a Dlux entry? Beginners luck boys! Beware!! Cheers, Erl

I'll probably post the 'real' non-selected ones once the voting has finished. Well for me, even if I post some of my last weekend's photos, they will seem to be like those on the challenge day.... *I live in Paris!* Andy, here's one for you : http://www.leica-camera-user.com/landscape-travel/7492-yet-another-standard-parisien-photo.html#post72373 Hsin
robert_parker Posted October 26, 2006 Share #18 Posted October 26, 2006 It's a tough job trying to pick the right 'one' but I'll try to get one submitted as soon as possible after the weekend !! Ps. Can I take it that the file size should match the usual one for the forum ?
stunsworth Posted October 26, 2006 Author Share #19 Posted October 26, 2006 Hi Robert, maximum side length of 700 pixels.
