andit Posted November 20, 2008 Share #1 Posted November 20, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi guys, I just went to take the dogs out before going to bed when I spotted this amazing cactus flowering in the garden. From what I believe this cactus only flowers at night - thus the name "Queen of the Night". Once again my trusty CLux 1 came to the rescue and, as far as I'm concerned, took some amazing images. Set to iso 80, macro, exposure compensation -2 stops, and flash on. These were taken in total darkness - I'm amazed at the results. Thanks for looking. All comments welcome. Advertisement Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Hi andit, Take a look here Queen Of The Night. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted November 20, 2008 Share #2 Posted November 20, 2008 Andreas - Lovely subject and series. I'd be tempted to clone out the distant light spots in the background of #1, and see if I could regain some detail in the overly flashed section of #2.
