Rower Posted October 6, 2006 Share #1 Posted October 6, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) dear everybody - Sometimes you like picture a lot because how they were created. My daughter competed in a gymnastic tournament. I had my small Vario-Elmarit (TZ1) with me. I am far away from being a professional but an enthusiast. The gymnasium was too large for flashes, the actors too fast for long exposure times and too far away for non Zoom cameras - around me all the cameras had to give up shooting pics from the action. Because of the needed high ISO the pictures are not crisp (#2) but in #1 I catched an effect which I really liked. I hope you like it thanks for watching

JHAG Posted October 6, 2006 Share #2 Posted October 6, 2006 Rower 1 Nice movement, she seems to burst through the canvas. 2 I love the slightly sulky/attentive expression Johan
Sandokan Posted October 6, 2006 Share #3 Posted October 6, 2006 The end result may not be what you wanted, but both are great shots.
semrich Posted October 6, 2006 Share #4 Posted October 6, 2006 Two very nice shots that convey the two very different elements of a competive event, when its your turn the focus and burst of activity and also sitting and waiting.
Rower Posted October 7, 2006 Author Share #5 Posted October 7, 2006 Thank you for the kind comments - Ravi is right, it #1 was an unexpected result and most likely its not reproduceable. I shot 100+ shots most of them useable, still learning this camera with profiles only, can´t wait to go with a Leica with more manual options. I am learning everytime more what is possible with digital and from this forum here as well. Again thanks a lot Heiner
