It's that time of the year when we need to start organising the regular weekend walkabout the city centre.

Can I make the first suggestion - same as last year's hugely successful event. :D

Proposed date: Sunday 7th December.

Meet at 10:00 at Manchester Museum of Science and Technology Cafe.

Walkabout in a straggle for a few hours. A different route is available.

Lunch at 2:30pm in The Ox public house.

If our regional Moderator can set up a Poll on this thread for :

- I may be interested

- I'm definitely interested, but can't say for sure yet

- Count me in, I'll be there & my name is below

I'll organise the tables again.

Leave this with me :)

Do we need a Poll? (I can't convert this thread)

Just say "I" here

"I"

Not a poll as such Andy, just a counting device as circumstances change.

Steve's a systems guru, delegate it. :D

No prob, we've got some history. I'll book for twelve and take a count just before the event.

I is 'ere. That's two definite and one sounds good.

Have contacted the OX re our booking.

Seems that a change of policy requires advance bookings to accept the fixed Xmas menu. That's £25 a head, with £10 deposit. Not a lot for a Leica shooter (watch them cough !). I'm easy either way as it's the only Christmas party I'll be going to where I have to pay. :D

The recommended alternative is that we settle for the bar meal on the day and take the risk of seats for 'organisers only'.

Last year the place had plenty of seats.

If anyone wants to book the excellent value Xmas meal - there is a way.

Thanks Gary. I'm happy to have the pre-booked lunch if that can be arranged and that guarantees us a place and food on time and that's what we all want. It was quiet last time but where my lunch is concerned I can get impatient very quickly!!!!
