Advertisement Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 Hi gyoung, Take a look here Digital M3. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted October 16, 2008 Share #2 Posted October 16, 2008 The original ones have been around for quite some time so their technology logically lags what's newer out there. I always assumed it was a jewel-like novelty and probably not a serious camera, but I've never tried one, and this is a newer version.
jamesto Posted October 17, 2008 Share #3 Posted October 17, 2008 I have several versions of the digital Minox M3. They are very cute and great conversation pieces. As for taking photos, they are similar to the quality of a late model mobile phone camera, and can produce some surprisingly good images if used with good technique. You may find the dedicated flash will help in low light situations. In conclusion, a delightful little camera, but more of a toy in my opinion. Bo_Lorentzen Posted October 17, 2008 Share #4 Posted October 17, 2008 Its actually a 3.2 megapix sensor up-ressed to 5.0 I did see the original version, it do not have any controls, but is simply a point and shoot in a cool packaging. if you must check out the rollei twin 6x6 Bo d-lux 4 hiking images Zenfolio | Bo Lorentzen | 2008-10-15 Angeles Crest d-lux4

dkCambridgeshire Posted October 17, 2008 Share #6 Posted October 17, 2008 Ffordes have one in their used Digital section under Leica ... it is ex demo and 1.3 megapixels. Cheers dunk
hector_jorge Posted October 17, 2008 Share #7 Posted October 17, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) It is a nice camera, more a replica than a real camera. I like it, but I didn`t bought it because its bulky back has nothing to do with the original M3 shape. If a new model could be made with a closer shape to the prototype, I surely will buy it. Guest tvleeskr Posted October 17, 2008 Share #8 Posted October 17, 2008 Not worth the Leica brand, I sold mine within 2 days:D
farnz Posted October 17, 2008 Share #9 Posted October 17, 2008 I agree with Hector; the bulky back spoils the camera but it's okay perched on a high shelf. It's little more than a toy and the images are poor but what can you expect from a plastic lens? Pete.
