elansprint72 Posted July 3, 2006 Share #22 Posted July 3, 2006 Use of the Dark Side logo may constitute a breach of copyright; I'll ask Nick Mason when I see him on Thursday.
andybarton Posted July 3, 2006 Share #23 Posted July 3, 2006 Use of the Dark Side logo may constitute a breach of copyright; I'll ask Nick Mason when I see him on Thursday. Is it Pink Floyd, Pink Floyd (1984) Ltd, Roger Waters, Hipgnosis or someone else who has the copyright? Seems pretty innocuous to me and something that I am sure nick mason couldn't give a monkey's about. A smilie might not got amiss, here, Pete

erl Posted July 6, 2006 Share #30 Posted July 6, 2006 William, I donate regularly to a cork re-cycling charity, just keeping enough for my hat. Cheers, Erl

fotografr Posted August 4, 2006 Share #33 Posted August 4, 2006 I would love to partcipate in this but several weeks ago booked a shoot in San Francisco for that weekend. If they are held around the same time each year, I'd like to know so I can plan to keep the period available next year.
stunsworth Posted August 6, 2006 Author Share #34 Posted August 6, 2006 Ok, I've been thinking about the rules and am going to make a minor change. When the photographs are posted for review I will not include any details of camera/lens etc. I'll do that at the end when the photographers are named. By doing so the photographs will be only be able to be judged on their own merits without the name of the camera/lens providing any possible influence. Perhaps we should have a secondary competition where people guess the lens :-)
andybarton Posted August 6, 2006 Share #35 Posted August 6, 2006 Or whether it's digital or not That's an excellent idea. Obviously, eligibility to enter (checking that Leica equipment is being used) is done at "registration", but removing the camera and lens info from the entries will make it much more even. After all, if there's only one person using a IIIf, an R8 or a 5D, then it's obvious to those who were there, who took it. I second the proposal. What is it? 9 weeks now? Must have just missed Kim Bassinger...

pascal_meheut Posted August 8, 2006 Share #39 Posted August 8, 2006 I'm not sure there is a cheap way to go from Indianapolis to Paris but I usually travel the other way around to what do I know ? BTW, can we see the pictures of the previous events somewhere ?
andybarton Posted August 8, 2006 Share #40 Posted August 8, 2006 They were on the old forum, of course, but that's inaccessible at the moment. I could probably post my previous efforts, but that seems a little pointless now. It would be interesting to see them all in context again though.
