John Thawley Posted August 14, 2008 Share #42 Posted August 14, 2008 Sorry... but who is the guy with the sign? Uh... CAPTAIN OBVIOUS? Nice black and whites.
Rona!d Posted August 14, 2008 Author Share #43 Posted August 14, 2008 Maybe some stupid FIA-rules? He has to inform the pit leaving cars that it might get slippery when it rains ... to me he was just perfect for my shots.
elansprint72 Posted August 14, 2008 Share #44 Posted August 14, 2008 Ron, Apologies, I thought that I had responded earlier (old age). I particularly like the Elite shot and the B&Ws are lovely too. It's a well-known fact that of the 97 Elan 26R's built by the factory, all 286 of them are still on the road.
Rona!d Posted August 14, 2008 Author Share #45 Posted August 14, 2008 Same with so many cars (like NSU TTS). It's a well-known fact that of the 97 Elan 26R's built by the factory, all 286 of them are still on the road.

azzo Posted August 17, 2008 Share #49 Posted August 17, 2008 Ronald, The speed and power this image transmits is simply superb. Well done on all shots.
topoxforddoc Posted August 17, 2008 Share #50 Posted August 17, 2008 Ron, More great shots. Like Pete, I'm a great Lotus fan. I would love to have an Elite, but have to make do with a Seven! Best wishes, Charlie
Rona!d Posted August 17, 2008 Author Share #51 Posted August 17, 2008 Charlie, a Seven is as nice as an Elite. I like them both, though i also like the "big" things (like Astons, pre-war Bentleys, 40´s/50´s Maseratis etc.). This year i fell in love with a 1947 Lancia Moretti 750 Sports. Good that it´s enough for me to shoot them.
topoxforddoc Posted August 18, 2008 Share #52 Posted August 18, 2008 Ronald, I have a soft spot for pre-war cars. I'm just really lucky that the Bugatti Owners Club own Prescott Hill only 5 miles from my house. The Type 35 and 37 were just phenomenal in their day. Every bit as good as the pre-war Alfas.
