This is a first show of the famous spring flowers of the Northern Cape's Namaqualand spring season. The Namaqualand Daisy (dimorphotheca sinuata) does well on farm fields and on road sides, but is at its most natural in Goegap Nature Reserve near Springbok. We very lucky to see this in July this year: early!

Hi there Sander,

You were really lucky to see the daisies so early in the season. Normally the season only starts at the beginning of August. There was quite a bit of rain in the Cape in May and June, also early for the Winter rainfall season. In June we even had rain here in Namibia.

Look forward to see some more images. Thanks for sharing.
