After a good day with great company at last Sunday's Morcambe meet, I'll post my images in a single thread - this one, from two exposed films.

Additional images will be loaded as the scanning progresses, so please return and add further comments as we go, if you wish. They will be appreciated.

Many thanks for looking. :p

ps, oops ... I'll remove the signature from the Action on future images.

Rolo, the first is magic. The creamy silver and perfect composition are superb. The second is enjoyable. I believe Andy portrayed those chairs as "Kubrick" like, to which I fully agree. Very cool. The last is interesting, but the back-light hasn't been tamed to my eye. All in all another outstanding set from you. Keep those waves rolling in.

I see from other posts these are the newly restored Midland Hotel - did Urban Splash do the restoration? I think B&W show up the Art Deco nature better than the colour photo's on the hotels own site - these and others posted from your meet are first rate.

I had the pleasure of a long, hot, day at Tatton.

Thanks Azzo, Andy,

Ben - these are really snaps from a few hours with the lads, but any image has to illustrate the passion of the photographer, imv. The glass in the 3rd is opaque, so it's really just a light box.

Bill, I wanted Tatton, but stuck with the arrangements.

Michael, many thanks.

here's one I quite like. :p

Well, that's a choice and a trap for a Moderator to fall into. Business first.

Also note that the Moderator was the first to throw the towel in as the light was improving. :D

Also note that I was late for lunch - with a little (lot) of luck, the guy that held me back from y'all will buy my motorcycle tomorrow for $16,000 !! Correct $16,000 !! Keep yo fingers and toes crossed for me, please. (USD used because it sounds so much better ! :D )

Here's Father Christmas.

The best of the lot. Just perfection. Amazing vantage point and processing. Rich, rich, rich tonalities. The bearded man & the first "Arena" are contenders. What lens on the arena? Love the attending sky in that image. Just enough foreboding to rattle the cage, Bravo Maestro!
