ijporter Posted September 24, 2006 Share #7 Posted September 24, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi John, I realy like your shot and am especially interested in it because, in a few weeks, I will be making my first trip to England and will be in Derbyshire for a few days in mid-late October. I have tried to find the Longdendale Valley on my maps, but have not met with any success. Can you please enlighten me? Ian
jmr Posted September 24, 2006 Author Share #8 Posted September 24, 2006 Ian, the valley contains a chain of reservoirs feeding water to Manchester which, at the time of its construction in the 1860s, was the largest in the World. Now it's got many pleasant paths for walking, cycling or horse riding. See Wikipedia for more information - Longdendale
