osscat Posted June 28, 2008 Share #1 Posted June 28, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) My first Digilux 3 kit lens gave up the ghost a while back in April - the front element arrangement was soooo loose it could be pulled out and rotated 360 degrees - put it back and it still focussed - not sure whether that is good or not? Camera sent back for repair - returned with bits of body loose and still set to engineers repair mode - yellow triangle with black exclamation mark on it appears on LCD when switched off. However, the lens felt much tighter than the first one ever was. I duly returned the whole thing and Leica kindly replaced the camera but this time the lens (the third lens I have received) was a little loose and rather like the first one. I received the replacement body and lens in the middle of May - yesterday the lens jammed between 18 and 25 mm - is that familiar? Question. Am I just unlucky or is there a lack of supervision from Leica in the manufacturing process? Osscat

lct Posted June 28, 2008 Share #3 Posted June 28, 2008 ...is there a lack of supervision from Leica in the manufacturing process?... I did not know that Leica supervise the manufacturing process. I thought that the camera was made by Panasonic but i may be wrong here.
