stunsworth Posted June 14, 2008 Share #3 Posted June 14, 2008 I'll be in France the last week in August and the first week of September if that makes any difference, so won't be able to attend during those dates. Any other week is fine for me.
stunsworth Posted June 15, 2008 Share #4 Posted June 15, 2008 Any suggestions? The place is now open if that makes a difference... Midland Hotel - Midland Hotel Around £150 a night if you're interested.
DTD Posted June 16, 2008 Share #5 Posted June 16, 2008 Latter half of July suit anyone? (away from 12-19th). Might stay over. 1 room 19 breakfasts.
elansprint72 Posted June 16, 2008 Author Share #6 Posted June 16, 2008 I'm also away from the 9th - 15th. Just noticed that it is the Tall Ships in Liverpool on the 18th too.

Falstaff Posted June 17, 2008 Share #8 Posted June 17, 2008 July is fine for me. I have also just found out that the Manchester jazz festival is on from 18-26 July. http://www.manchesterjazz.com/home Falstaff

andybarton Posted June 17, 2008 Share #10 Posted June 17, 2008 I could make July, but not w/e of the 19th or 20th, as it's my Birthday. However, it's also the Tall Ships in Liverpool that weekend, so we could have a double bubble weekend.
stunsworth Posted June 17, 2008 Share #11 Posted June 17, 2008 So how about Sunday July the 27th? That seems to suit everone who's posted so far.
andybarton Posted June 17, 2008 Share #12 Posted June 17, 2008 That'd be fine with me. I'm not paying £155 per night for a hotel in Morecambe, though, no matter how magenta the pillow cases are. They will struggle at those kind of rates, I reckon. (Bloody awful website they have there too...)
stunsworth Posted June 17, 2008 Share #13 Posted June 17, 2008 Magenta pillow cases? As an M8 user I couldn't possible stay there - I'd have nightmares. I agree about the price being a bit 'ambitious', but it does appear to be fully booked through the summer. I wish them well, hopefully it will bring more money into the town - or be closed in 18 months.
elansprint72 Posted June 25, 2008 Author Share #14 Posted June 25, 2008 I could make July, but not w/e of the 19th or 20th, as it's my Birthday. Maybe it's two birthdays like the Queen? Then again perhaps on his birthday he wanders around the estate exercising his "Droit de seigneur" and that's what takes the time? Although in his neck of the woods I'd expect this only to take a few miniutes - can't be easy finding virgins so close to Liverpool. So Sunday the 27th it is? farnz Posted June 26, 2008 Share #18 Posted June 26, 2008 Any room for a shandy-drinking, vest-wearing, soft southern sh1te? (Promise not to ramble on about jellied eels, pie'n'mash, my ol' man's an entrepreneur etc.) Pete.
stunsworth Posted June 26, 2008 Share #19 Posted June 26, 2008 No problem at all Pete, though I think the thing not to ramble on about is cockles rather than jellied eels. Of course that assume you get through passport control at Watford. See you there.
farnz Posted June 26, 2008 Share #20 Posted June 26, 2008 ... Of course that assume you get through passport control at Watford... Uh-oh, is there an entrance exam?! I'd better get on to my ABCs (Athers, Boycs and Charleton) sharpish then! If I was to wear a rose in my buttonhole what colour should it be? Pete.
