I just purchased a Clux-2 and can't see much in the LCD screen outside in the sunlight. I also bought one for my nephew to help take pictures of his kids. I think (based on the Panasonic version of that camera) you can temporarily boost the brightness of the LCD screen to help overcome the washout. Tenor1 Posted May 13, 2008 Author Share #6 Posted May 13, 2008 The boost feature has very little effect outside. It could be the time of day being about 2:00 PM with the sun being overhead. That's the downside with no viewfinder. Thanks William for the link to the LCD sheld. I'm going to look to see if that's a viable option for this little camera. leica dream Posted May 13, 2008 Share #7 Posted May 13, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) That is one reason that I chose a V-Lux1 because I am a viewfinder man primarily so with the V-lux you can fold away the screen. Tenor1 Posted May 14, 2008 Author Share #8 Posted May 14, 2008 I also own a V-Lux and love it and will use the C-Lux along with it. There are times when I can only manage a small camera. I play recoders with an early music group and there is so much to carry around the large camera is a hassel. We leased a château in the Loire Valley this summer and will play for an English country dance group workshop. I want to be able to hand a simple camera to people without too much fuss.
