Advertisement Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 Hi cosmonaut, Take a look here Shoe Mount Meter?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
earleygallery Posted April 12, 2008 Share #2 Posted April 12, 2008 The Leica meters are for the M's - you won't be able to fit one to your lll. The VC meter will fit, or carry on using your hand held meter.
luigi bertolotti Posted April 12, 2008 Share #3 Posted April 12, 2008 For me, mounting a meter on the shoe is, after all, not so a good idea, expecially on a LTM : the Leicameters for Ms, at least, had the capabilty to be coupled to the time knob... a certain form of quickness of operation... but the various small meters for hot shoe (I had an old selenium, Voigtlander-branded, and Leitz too listed some) at the end require the usual operation of hand-helds, which are always better in many aspects. cbretteville Posted April 12, 2008 Share #4 Posted April 12, 2008 Get a Gossen Digisix. Same price range as the CV meter. It is very small, uses readily available batteries has better sensitivity than any of the shoe mounted meters and most importantly it does incident light metering. I've had one for two+ years. It i excellent. - Carl
Stephan_Chandler Posted April 27, 2008 Share #5 Posted April 27, 2008 I'll comply! Gossen's Digisix is just great. Tho I WAS thinking of getting a Voigtlander sho-mount in addition, just to have an extra. Hmmm... I wonder if I can strap a Voigtlander meter around my neck?<S>
Skjöll Posted April 28, 2008 Share #6 Posted April 28, 2008 Cosmonaut, the Voigtlaender light meter is a fine piece. I carry it alternatively in my pocket (as a pocket meter) or fit it to the camera. Both ways work fine. I 'm selling one of mine for a fair price. If interested, just send me a PM.
