eggstone Posted April 1, 2008 Share #1 Posted April 1, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) I will be passing through Berlin, Germany in a few weeks time and would be interested in finding good second hand camera dealers. If anyone out there knows a good shop that stocks a wide range of equipment, please let me know. An address of such a place would be splendid. Thanks in advance! Ivar B Posted April 1, 2008 Share #2 Posted April 1, 2008 Meister Camers Berlin is a possible choice. Huge stocks with good quality items - but perhaps not the best prices in town. MEISTER CAMERA Berlin: Home
k_g_wolf ✝ Posted April 2, 2008 Share #3 Posted April 2, 2008 Would like to recommend them as well, good place to visit. If they are in a good mood - and they mostly are - they will even offer you some coffee ... Best
cbretteville Posted April 2, 2008 Share #4 Posted April 2, 2008 I stopped by them in October on my way home from The One Challenge. Bought a 3.5cm Sumaron. A very pleasent experience. They forgot to give me some of the paperwork I needed for the tax-free refund and were very helpful also after the sale in getting me the papers I needed. What you should note are the opening hours. They can be a little outside what you're used to. Cheers, - Carl

andybarton Posted May 27, 2015 Share #8 Posted May 27, 2015 You will probably find that the recommendations haven't changed, although Wuestefeld appears to be no longer in business.
menos I M6 Posted June 2, 2015 Share #9 Posted June 2, 2015 Recommendations regarding Meister Kamera in Berlin. I have bought several items of the years when traveling through Berlin and on every single instant did I find great service, helpful, nice people around the shop, always a little surprise as a repeat customer and always a really great attitude. I always make it a practice to check out the shop when traveling through Berlin. Second hand item prices are mostly on the higher side but some surprises are to be had there as well - I found for example one or the other odd accessory sold significantly under then current asking prices. jaapv Posted June 2, 2015 Share #10 Posted June 2, 2015 And if something might go wrong their service is second to none - with excellent connections in Wetzlar. I once bought an Elmarit 90 from them, used. I tested it, thought it was fine. I then sent it to Solms to be coded (obviously expecting to be charged), and got the unwelcome news that they had found something wrong with it making a 600 Euro repair necessary. On contacting Meister, I was told not to worry. I got the lens back within the week, refurbished and coded completely for free.
