Hey! Where's Her Head?

Nice pic, and nice not knowing what they're talking about!! ... just a general question, children's pics are nice and people tend to like them, but after all the trouble with sick people abusing them, well... I sometimes feel very uncomfortable shooting them, and I feel like someone might think the wrong way and get me into trouble, or at least a very embarrasing situation... does anyone else feels like that? I think the only way of taking those pics is acting/looking the least skeaky as possible, but other than that... it's still a sensitive situation... any advice or comments?

thanks

Richard -

Another nicely executed "from the hip" shot. Nice crop, tones and subject. I'd be tempted to rotate it just a bit to the left (Yes, I know it's on a hill leaning down to the right).

Regarding Eugenio's comment, I too sometimes have those same cautionary thoughts, but I've not changed my photo habits in any way.

Albert - You are welcome, and thanks for the encouragement, I liked this but wasn't going to post it because I only got half of her head. Now I need to not get to carried away, or all my shots will be headless.

Stuart - I was going to rotate it but I would have lost the boys foot, and I read a comment in a photography magazine "cut off theirs heads but not the feet" and I have cut to many feet already.

Jack - As mentioned, these are photos I take on the island while walking home, this is the sixth one I have posted. After taking one of the kids pictures the next time he saw me he came over and wanted me to take his picture, and then his friends got in the act. Some times I will take shots covertly. I plan to print the shots of the kids who pose and give then to them if and when I see them again so they can take them home. Many of the kids I see I know the families have no resources for photos of the kids and would welcome them.

Peter - Thanks for your comments, glad you like it.

Richard
