robert_parker Posted March 14, 2008 Share #1  Posted March 14, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi Everyone  Ok, so I finally cracked and blew next month's mortgage on a really outstanding M8, courtesy of some super customer service at The Classic Camera in London.  I should have it tomorrow, so can't wiat to produce some results.  Guess this means that my D3 with R adaptor and neoprene case are going, hopefully to a good home (especially as it has only got 360 frames on it - pms welcome - oops, hope that wasn't advertising) but I'm looking forward to some of this M photography stuff. elansprint72 Posted March 14, 2008 Share #10 Â Posted March 14, 2008 I've got one of the gold-plated Russian fake ones, looks great but the photos are crap. Don't blame you for posting this message in the "regular" digital forum, most of the posters in the M8 forum appear to be congenital idiots.

kdemas Posted March 15, 2008 Share #12 Â Posted March 15, 2008 Congrats on your new purchase, you're going to love it. I got a chrome one first as I was able to snag one when they first came out (looked great) but I am a black camera guy so I sold it and got a black one as soon as one was available. Â Have a little fun with the higher shutter speeds, shooting wide open during the day with a nice fast lens. Â Enjoy! Â Kent
ptomsu Posted March 15, 2008 Share #13 Â Posted March 15, 2008 Congrats to your new camera. Â I prefer black, have all my M stuff in black because I feel it is less visible while working. Â But chrome looks pretty cool, not sure if I bought a second M8 I would not choose a chrome one
