Advertisement Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 Hi Rona!d, Take a look here Old Leica webpage. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
andybarton Posted February 2, 2008 Share #2 Posted February 2, 2008 The R8. The camera I have been waiting for! (Oh, hang on... ) Old webpages date very quickly - old "Apple" web pages are hilarious.
sdai Posted February 2, 2008 Share #3 Posted February 2, 2008 I know it's a matter of personal preferences but the old one looks cleaner and more professional when compared to the current one IMO ... my favorite version is the one with 4 square color patch background one which was replaced at the M8 launch time. So now there'll be no Japanese, French and Italian versions anymore?
LUF Admin Posted February 4, 2008 Share #4 Posted February 4, 2008 Now - that makes me really proud! The whole site (the first Leica website at all) was created by me and my business partner Ralph Hebecker and was launched at the 1996 photokina. 100% hand coded by me Andreas
stunsworth Posted February 4, 2008 Share #5 Posted February 4, 2008 I think that what a lot of people forget is that a lot of white space on the page - website or printed - looks very, very, good and attracts attention to the text. Trying to cram too much on a page almost always looks more down market IMHO.
leicapages Posted February 5, 2008 Share #6 Posted February 5, 2008 I have always liked the first Leica webpages and all the changes afterwards have only made my nostalgia for them stronger.
johnnyj Posted February 5, 2008 Share #7 Posted February 5, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) Andreas, Leica would do well to come back to you for their Website design. I'm sure that you saw my other post about their new Website. I like the cleaness and interest generated with your Website design. If Leica came back to you the Website would probably be less expensive and far more effective. (I'm not saying that just because my last name is Jorgensen either and we happen to have better sense and taste.) John
mgcd Posted February 5, 2008 Share #8 Posted February 5, 2008 That was my absolute favourite design for the Leica website. Just loved it.
