Mind you if I were in my Seven, that would be a different story. Most clubmans racing I've seen has Sevens leading the pack in every race, exotic machinery orr not. Thanks Charlie Absolutely Charlie; that's why the Sevens were legislated out of several racing categories- remember the "Too Fast to Race" thing? Must have been very annoying for the owners of the "supercars" to be pasted by a "cheapo kit car". :D The Elan is similarly penalised even now, having to run against 4.6 ltr Morgans, in the "road-sports" categories, etc. I don't remember the Morgan +8 having quite such a large engine back then, either.
