norbertnl Posted August 30, 2006 Share #1 Â Posted August 30, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Last sunday I'd walk the 15mm lens I had borrowed from a friend. It's a fun item, surely worth owning. I wonder what the new Tri-Elmar will be like - of course without the crop factor ;-) Â Best, Norbert
Advertisement Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Hi norbertnl, Take a look here Some random 15mm shots of the place where I live: Nijmegen. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
andybarton Posted August 30, 2006 Share #2 Â Posted August 30, 2006 Hey, Norbert! Â These are a bit extreme even for my taste ( and I am a wide bloke...), but very exciting nonetheless. Â Very nicely done. Â Let's hope the new Tri-Elmar is at least as good as this...
norbertnl Posted August 30, 2006 Author Share #3 Â Posted August 30, 2006 Hi Andy, Â It's indeed extreme, to consume in homoeopathic doses only. I found that acute angles seen from the outside work pretty well sometimes. Well, normally I'm a moderate focal length guy: 28, 35, 50 preferably. andybarton Posted August 30, 2006 Share #4 Â Posted August 30, 2006 Can't argue with this... Â
stuny Posted August 30, 2006 Share #5 Â Posted August 30, 2006 Norbert - Â Remarkable lack of distortion, partly due to Leica and partly due to the care you used when shooting.
albertwang Posted August 31, 2006 Share #6 Â Posted August 31, 2006 Whoa! Those are some eye catching shots. I like the time of day that you shot at.
fotografr Posted August 31, 2006 Share #7 Â Posted August 31, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Beautiful city, beautiful lens. Â "I wonder what the new Tri-Elmar will be like - of course without the crop factor ;-)" Â At nearly $3,800 US, I'll be wondering about that one for quite some time. norbertnl Posted August 31, 2006 Author Share #8  Posted August 31, 2006  At nearly $3,800 US, I'll be wondering about that one for quite some time.  Brent,  Same with me. These pictures were taken with the Voigtländer Super Heliar 15mm. Pretty amazing lens. As long as ultrawide is not your most frequently used focal length, the Voigtländer seems perfectly right.  Best, Norbert
norbertnl Posted August 31, 2006 Author Share #9 Â Posted August 31, 2006 Albert, Â It was a dull Sunday afternoon. Mostly there were some dramatically dark clouds during this rainy August however. They added drama to wideangle shots as you could just use them as background material (dark as they were). Â Norbert
