Firmware 4 warns about battery 4 vs 6 all the time

I have a bunch of previous batteries that I used with Q3 43 without a problem.  Now with the new firmware it shows me a warning every time it wakes up and I have to press OK to be able to shoot.  This is a non-starter.  Leica, you must disable this.

so they want everyone to responsibly recycle their old 4s and buy the new ones?   brilliant..like a website that wont work unless one accepts cookies and tracking data

I fully agree it's a nogo. My sl-3s brought up this warning as well any time switching on the camera. This is really bad. 

My R1 takes even batteries from old EOS 1 SLR models!
