I got no warning to save profiles but had luckily done it anyways as they were wiped on the upgrade (from 3.9 on Q3M)

Focus peaking now is either on or off for MF/AF. Not a fan of this as I only want it on in MF not while in AF as its distracting.

I too find this really annoying. why would you want peaking in AF!! at least give us th option to only have in in MF and it also doesn't go way on a half press of the shutter

Updated my Q3 28, all gone well... Startup time is waaaaay quicker... Not sure about being forced to use focus peaking on AF or MF but i dont use it anyway. Same with auto focus tracking, i`m sure it`s better but I really didn`t see it enough for me to start using it, i`ll stick with single point and re-compose ;)

Cheers,

I have updated Q3 Monochrome via Leica FOTOS, but I have lost all my settings. I probably should have saved them before updating.

However, all settings are preserved when upgrading from 3.1.1 (Q3).

Can anyone assist please?  I've just upgraded to firmware 4.0 and everything seems to be fine except the the Battery Condition function is n/a.  I am using BP-SCL6 batteries as suggested, and every time I switch the camera on I get a message "Please use battery type "BP-SCL6" for full functionality.   Is this indicative of an issue?

Take the battery out. Clean the contacts and put it back in. Then start up to see if anything has changed.

Surprisingly, the firmware update happened with the camera turned off! When I launched Leica Photo, the camera's screen turned on and the camera updated the firmware. I didn't even have to turn it on with the lever.

Interesting, in my case it demanded I use the cable between the camera and my iphone.  Flavor of the day, i guess.

Having issues with the profiles.  About a 50% chance that either the camera will freeze, or will get stuck in the loading process when I switch profiles.

Yes some of us are seeing this.  When I switch from a user profile to default mine always freezes. Other profile switching seems ok. ill stay away from default as I don't use it anyway.
