Who would want to watch this?  We were having a superb Korean tasting menu and noticed the two young women to our right placing their phones on mini tripods and videoing the food as they removed bits of it.  Then they took the phones off their tripods, and reversed their phones so others could see them eat.   Is this unrequited narcissism? 

BTW:  The Closest subject moved her hair tendrils from behind her ears before broadcasting her eating.  One of the waitresses watches in disbelief.

Foodie vloggers probably. I think they make up the majority of the customers at any new/trendy place.

There’s multiple reviews of most of them on YouTube. Some are pretty good but there’s a lot of dross too!

i find most of these kinda videos disgusting and irritating when one is at a restaurant, though they generally choose a corner or private room, they wouldnt dare to disturb other people or make too much noise with their "commentary"

but they sometimes "accidentally" spot serious issues, in korea now there is a huge spat happening and many vendors licenses  have been suspended in a food street-market place thanks to one of these vloggers [with millions of followers] pointing out all the scams

They do a good service in some regards. I would never stay at the Savoy unless I could afford a suite for example, their standard rooms are like some youth hostels accommodation!!
