Q3 Swipe for video survey - keep or bin?

I hate swipe for video, I never use video on my Q3 (nor the Q2M before it) and lifting the camera to my eye and missing the shot drives me crazy. I'd like to be able to toggle on/off. Any idea if the Q3M can do this with the new firmware?

Meanwhile here's a small survey:

• Votes 21 
• 76% of us had lost photos because of the function
• 95% wanted to be able to disable the function
• If a new menu item to allow toggle on or off then 95% wanted it removing entirely
• The written comments wanted it gone and expressed just how many shots they lost

I think that Leica went for this solution after Leica owners railing against a visible video button since 2013.

You left off the option "I never noticed it". I assume this is just a problem for those who don't use 'Extended Mode' for the LCD.
I'm happy for it to be explained to me!

When I bought the SL601 soon after launch, I found myself in video mode and sat in the car park in Boulogne reading the manual. Switched to Extended Mode and that was it sorted.

I also completely forgot that the mode change via swipe exists :).

Same, it's only happened to me once by accident when I first got the Q.
