Derbyshire Man Posted 8 hours ago Share #1 Â Posted 8 hours ago Advertisement (gone after registration) Am I being blind? I can't find a way to put the M11D on focus setting low. I realise it's only relevant with the visoflex, I realise that the function button cycles through the modes but it's only on or off and I can't see anything in Fotos. I rarely use it but out of all of my cameras the M11D is the one where the visoflex can be useful but the high focus peaking is not helpful for accurate focussing in my experience. Also, where's best to send suggestions? Maybe via Fotos in this instance?

lct Posted 8 hours ago Share #2 Â Posted 8 hours ago No experience with the M11-D sorry. This good poster could help perhaps? Â
gbealnz Posted 8 hours ago Share #3  Posted 8 hours ago I'm old, and a bit of a luddite when it comes to techie things, but your question had me intrigued. I don't own the M11D, I have the M11-P, but looked, and looked, and looked. Eventually I tried the manual, and it seems it accessible, but I haven't tried it. Have to admit, it's not easy.  Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! Robert Ardinger Posted 7 hours ago Share #5 Â Posted 7 hours ago Not sure at all if this is the same for an M11D but on an M11-P look under "Capture Assistant" (as mentioned above, menu page 4) then "Info Profiles". Â This is where you get to choose what is seen in the EVF. Â The "Focus Peaking" entry has a submenu to turn it off or on, change sensitivity to "high or low" and change the "peaking" color. Â This video might help. Â Apologies if this is not in the M11D menu.

Derbyshire Man Posted 7 hours ago Author Share #7 Â Posted 7 hours ago Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks gents, hold on though, remember the M11D doesn't have any menus in camera, there is no 'capture assistant' menu to look under. All camera settings are changed via Fotos and I cannot see capture assistant in this. As I said in my posting, I realise that one can cycle between capture assistant style screens, eg nothing -> info -> info with focus peaking. But importantly there is no way to adjust the level of focus peaking and it looks to be set on maximum and I'd like the lowest! I've dropped a feature request to Fotos as it would need to be a new line in the menu on there. I can't really see them doing it of course!
Derbyshire Man Posted 7 hours ago Author Share #8 Â Posted 7 hours ago The other annoying Fotos oddity (especially being a beta tester which wipes this out every time a reset my M11P, M11D or M11M) is that although Leica Content Credentials can be set in the app (much more quickly on the phone than the back of the camera) the M11M menu page on Fotos doesn't allow one to set the copyright material even though it is analogous. Grrrr.
Robert Ardinger Posted 6 hours ago Share #9 Â Posted 6 hours ago Out of never having used an M11D but knowing it can use a Visoflex (but also never having used an electronic Visoflex on any M camera) I thought it would just show the same menus and options one would see on the LCD of an M11/P. Â On a Q3 the EVF will show the same display as the LCD as do my Nikons and I assume the new M EV1 does. I just assumed plugging a Visoflex worked the same way as having a built in EVF and everything that would show up on an M11/P LCD would be visible in the Visoflex. Â Interesting to find out it does not, as this post mentions.
