fotografr Posted 18 hours ago Share #1 Posted 18 hours ago (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) I went to a Jeff Daniels concert last night at a small venue just a few blocks from my house. His guitar playing, singing and story telling were all superb, but as a photographer I also really appreciated his many animated facial expressions. One interesting note was that "no professional cameras are allowed." I guess my little M10M with 50mm Summicron isn't considered a professional camera. 😏 Welcome, dear visitor! stuny Posted 17 hours ago Share #3 Posted 17 hours ago Delightful set, lovely Martin guitar. We've had the pleasure of seeing him live on stage three times. At well as his acting talent he's warm, charming and engaging. 1

He played one song that he wrote about his guitar, as many well known musicians have done (e.g., George Harrison, "While my guitar gently weeps."). Lelmer Posted 15 hours ago Share #6 Posted 15 hours ago Great series, Brent. Fantastic captures of his expressions with a non professional camera 🙂

stuny Posted 14 hours ago Share #8 Posted 14 hours ago I've frequently found the Q to be perceived as an amateur camera at events, and SLRs, DSLRs and even Vlux (no removeable lens) as forbidden since they are "professional." At one event (an exhibit of Rolling Stones items) they perceived my old Vlux4 as professional until I challenged the guard to remove the lens. He relented.

The quality of cameras in some new phones makes that policy even more unreasonable.
