Erwin74 Posted September 21 Share #1 Posted September 21 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am looking for a comfortable backpack that can securely hold two Leica SL2-S cameras with their lenses. 1x SL2-S & 90-280 1x SL2-S & 24-90 I would like the cameras to be accessible from the top of the bag. The cameras should be placed lengthwise in the bag (as shown in the image below). Welcome, dear visitor! Advertisement Posted September 21 Posted September 21 Hi Erwin74, Take a look here Backpack for 90-280 & 24-90 with camera attached?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted September 22 Share #2 Posted September 22 Have a look at the LowePro Slingshot series. I have the Edge 250 AW but you may need to go one size up.
HPFM Posted September 22 Share #3 Posted September 22 Had for several years the F-Stop Tilopa. Now using the NYA-EVO 60 l for Hiking in the mountains with Leica equipment ( sl3, Sl3-s, 24-90, 90-280 or 100-400, Tripod…). Next trip october Dachstein aerea, Austria, a workshop with leica academy 😎 The NYA-EVO is well build and very comfortable to carry heavy equipment.
FlashGordonPhotography Posted September 22 Share #4 Posted September 22 Is this for actual hiking or schlepping gear around town? Generally for *real* hiking a bag with an external frame is preferable for better comfort and airflow. A great waist belt will keep the weight low, on the hips which is better for long days. Fstop comes to mind. For around town there are many many options and everyone is a bit different. I quite like the Gura Gear bags and Wandrd. Gura Gear has much better access. Wandrd is better if you need to carry other stuff. You can get a hip strap for both. I have travelled all over the world with both and been happy. Neither is top loading. I’m struggling to think of one that is that will allow both cameras to be accessed from the top. Gordon
tom0511 Posted September 26 Share #5 Posted September 26 The companion backpacks are very comfortable to carry and flexible + robust. I use one for my SL gear.
fotonutzz Posted September 30 Share #6 Posted September 30 ThinkTank Retrospective Backpack 15. Able to carry quite a number of stuff without being overly too big. Welcome, dear visitor! If I take out the flash, I can put the 100-400 in as well.
 Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! jbb Posted September 30 Share #7 Posted September 30 Advertisement (gone after registration) the STREET WALKER ROLLING V2 from Think Tank is very convenient. it can easily hold your 2 cameras with related lens. you can either roll it or use it as a backpack and furthermore it fits the airline hand luggage size.
Erwin74 Posted October 1 Author Share #8 Posted October 1 Thanks for the advice. I'm looking for one that will allow both cameras to be accessed from the top (SL24-90 & SL90-280). I have the Compagnon Adapt Backpack 25L 1.0, which I find really comfortable. But I don't think Compagnon's new “Adapt IGU unit - 18L” will allow me to transform my Adapt Backpack 25L into a bag in which two SL cameras are accessible from the top. I don't think IGU-Unit 18L is wide enough.
Photoworks Posted October 1 Share #9 Posted October 1 I would imagine that the "TOP" is the top, whichever way you put it down. Sounds like a big bag like that, you need to put it down to get anything out of it. https://sakkgear.com/products/sakk-pack-v2
Elliot Harper Posted October 2 Share #10 Posted October 2 holy cow, I was thinking to get a 90-280, now I see it in a bag, this monster size instantly turned me off.

It's really huge compared to the 24-90...that's enough said.
RBB Posted October 5 Share #12 Posted October 5 Ik use the Shimoda Action X50, you could try it. It's completely adjustable so you can access it from the top, I personally like to use access from the back. If it doesn't;t fit in this back, it won't fit in anything 😉
