My goodness, I have been a member of this forum for 17 of those 25 years. Unbelievable!!

When I joined, as a long term Canon SLR user, I was on a steep learning curve. The steepness increased manyfold when I bought my first M, the M8, and the patient (mostly) support and guidance from more experienced and talented photographers has been completely invaluable. A huge Thank You to Andreas and the moderators for keeping the show on the road for all these years. And also a shout out to some of the legendary contributors from the early years who are no longer with us 👏

Here's to many good years ahead!!

Today I went through your original post of this thread again. Thank you, Andreas, for this well written text. Its very interesting to learn a bit about the history of this forum, a place in the internet that I visit almost every day.

For many years - for me - the forum is a great source of all sorts of information related to Leica, its cameras and photography. I access this information for many years by now. I appreciate the tone of conversation and how people communicate with each other.

I think that its important to keep this forum alive and I would like to continue my part to support this institution.
