setuporg Posted August 23 Share #1 Posted August 23 Advertisement (gone after registration) My M-P sometimes sounds like it jams. A shot makes a curtailed shutter sound and then you cannot make more shots until you turn off/on again. Pressing the button does nothing when jammed. Happens about 1/1000 shots. I let it be, but recently during a trip the jamming would not go away for a while. Even removing and reinserting the battery was not doing it. I was using a multifunctional grip. Finally I took off the grip and did the battery reinsert and turned the camera on without reattaching the grip, that fixed it and then I put the grip back on. Any pattern of misfiring and what does it mean?

jto555 Posted September 7 Share #5 Posted September 7 I would suspect a shutter issue. I have been down this road many times and a trip back to Leica for the camera is called for.
