jankap Posted August 22 Share #3 Posted August 22 The more important question is to think of what we have won? Don´t look back, think positive!
fotografr Posted August 22 Share #4 Posted August 22 I think we are losing the ability to communicate and interact with each other in person. I often see young people in coffee houses and restaurants sitting at a table staring at their phones rather than talking to each other--just like the four young lads at the right in your photo. 3

It’s couples out for dinner together that’s even more depressing, when you see them gazing into their phones totally detached from one another. stuny Posted August 22 Share #6 Posted August 22 Excellent shot, and a question we've (Barbara and I) have often discussed, usually after seeing what you and Brent note. The first time I recall being struck by this was in Dubrovnik in September 2009. It was a beautiful, balmy evening, with the lighted city wall and sea for romantic atmosphere, where we were enjoying dinner. A couple on the level a meter or two below us were not paying attention to one another, nor the exquisite surroundings -- both had their attention drilled into their cell phones. The young woman was so attractive I thought at least the man should be looking at her, but no. His phone won. In the photo below from last Saturday evening a couple of young men who never learned how to dress for a very fancy and expensive Manhattan restaurant are caught during a rare moment when only one of them wasn't on his phone. Thanks for commenting, Stuart. Best wishes, Graeme
