My M9 broke (my heart too) so finally decided to splurge on my dream camera, M10-P, for the touch screen and silent shutter.

What a camera! It totally opens up low light photography and with a f1.4 lens, it allows me to shoot in the dark with minimal noise (the DNG baked in noise reduction setting so have to turn it off in post manually).

I agree. I finally gave my M9 to my son as I found no downsides to my M10 (bought before the "P" came out). So I recently got an M10R as my backup camera. The quieter shutter is indeed nice.

The DNG files are tricky to understand but I realize it actually contain a lot of color informations and can take quite some color gradings.

M9 (even M240) can only dream to take night shots like this...

And worth mentioning the M10-P is very forgiving shooting at 1/60, more so than my M9 (and easier than M240 still) for some weird reason but I'm not complaining.

Sorry to hear about your broken M9. Beautiful images with your M10-P. Thx for sharing.

Going on 6 years with my black M10-P.  I bought it new in late November 2019 along with a 50 Summicron.  There was a (US) Thanksgiving special for $500 off the body so the timing was just right.

I've added a couple of lenses and a Visoflex (for the 21mm Super-Elmar) since then and I absolutely still love it!

Fantastic choice! The M10-P really just feels right in every way. All about it just comes together without messing with the essence of the M.

I honestly think the M10/P will be remembered as a classic digital M. Definitely one to hold on to.

I do feel the M10P is the first digital M camera that can be compared to the M6. Having a file size if 25mb seems about right. How large do you want your prints and how big is your hard drive? The M camera has always been the tool for hand held, documentary work - never did understand why it had a tripod mounting thread!

I generally agree but also why not? https://lisesarfati.com/works/she

very good work done with a Leica on a tripod, for example.
My tripod mount has come in handy a few times or more on my m10 even though I primarily do documentary work handheld.
