Casey Jefferson Posted August 21 Share #1 Posted August 21 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) My M9 broke (my heart too) so finally decided to splurge on my dream camera, M10-P, for the touch screen and silent shutter. What a camera! It totally opens up low light photography and with a f1.4 lens, it allows me to shoot in the dark with minimal noise (the DNG baked in noise reduction setting so have to turn it off in post manually). Bicycles in Singapore (they're everywhere!) Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! Advertisement Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Hi Casey Jefferson, Take a look here M10(P) in 2025. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jiggyb21 Posted August 21 Share #2 Posted August 21 Just picked one up myself as my first M camera. Love it!
TomB_tx Posted August 21 Share #3 Posted August 21 I agree. I finally gave my M9 to my son as I found no downsides to my M10 (bought before the "P" came out). So I recently got an M10R as my backup camera. The quieter shutter is indeed nice.
Casey Jefferson Posted August 21 Author Share #4 Posted August 21 The DNG files are tricky to understand but I realize it actually contain a lot of color informations and can take quite some color gradings. M9 (even M240) can only dream to take night shots like this... Welcome, dear visitor! And worth mentioning the M10-P is very forgiving shooting at 1/60, more so than my M9 (and easier than M240 still) for some weird reason but I'm not complaining.
 Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! hepcat Posted August 25 Share #6 Posted August 25 I've had my (used) M10-P for three or four years now. I am firmly convinced it will become the M6 of digital M bodies.
Muso Posted September 4 Share #7 Posted September 4 Advertisement (gone after registration) Going on 6 years with my black M10-P. I bought it new in late November 2019 along with a 50 Summicron. There was a (US) Thanksgiving special for $500 off the body so the timing was just right. I've added a couple of lenses and a Visoflex (for the 21mm Super-Elmar) since then and I absolutely still love it!
FarbSpieler Posted September 13 Share #8 Posted September 13 Fantastic choice! The M10-P really just feels right in every way. All about it just comes together without messing with the essence of the M. I honestly think the M10/P will be remembered as a classic digital M. Definitely one to hold on to.
andybiggs Posted September 26 Share #9 Posted September 26 I do feel the M10P is the first digital M camera that can be compared to the M6. Having a file size if 25mb seems about right. How large do you want your prints and how big is your hard drive? The M camera has always been the tool for hand held, documentary work - never did understand why it had a tripod mounting thread! I generally agree but also why not? https://lisesarfati.com/works/she very good work done with a Leica on a tripod, for example. My tripod mount has come in handy a few times or more on my m10 even though I primarily do documentary work handheld.
