This time next week I will be in Vancouver and expect to make some photos in the city but for most of the time I will be in the Rockies and will finish my holiday in Calgary. Aside from the 28mm and 35mm I intend to bring for my M262, I could bring a third lens, but which one - I have a 21mm, 50mm and 75mm to choose from? Any suggestions or comments would be most welcome. Stating the obvious, I am aware that with the exception of the 75, all the other lenses are relatively close in terms of focal length. Thank you in anticipation. Michael

the best answer is:
it depends....

my2cents: let the 28mm at home, take the 21 mm instead + 75mm...Especially in the city you will need every mm more than 28..... and 75 fits perfect ...

Than would be my choice too. 👍

21 + 35 + 75 👍

Enjoy the trip!  It will be fabulous.

Thank you Stefan, Topsy and Jos, I will be following your advice and taking the 21 +35 + 75 combination. All the best, Michael

I think 28mm will return more keepers than 21mm.  For my second trips to Vancouver used M10M and M10R each camera paired with dedicated 28 and 50 lenses also WATE but it contributed small number of shots (less than 1%), this is after first trip where I have on my disposal focal lengths from 16 to 400mm, combining M246 with Z9 and selection of Leica/Voightlander M and Nikon Z lenses

I drove from Calgary to Vancouver some years ago (actually, too many years ago).  From recollection, I had an FM2 with a 35-85 zoom and a 180 telephoto.  On the plains, having a wide was very useful, and in the Rockies around Banff - Lake Louise etc, you're close to the mountains, so a wide is very useful.  A mild tele never goes amiss.

I'd second (third?) 21-35-75
