o2mpx Posted August 2 Share #1 Posted August 2 Advertisement (gone after registration) Is the 18-56mm Elmarit TL APS-C AF zoom likely the smallest and lightest choice with good IQ? Or Sigma 18-50? The SL3 is primarily for use with M lenses. Understand crop factor will reduce resolution down to around 26mp, but occasionally for walk around, a small form factor AF zoom would be highly convenient. carlosgavina Posted August 2 Share #2 Posted August 2 Yep crop lenses like the 18-55 would be probably the smallest/lightest options you can get. TL lenses, 18-55 in particular can be found at some interesting prices as well. 28-70 Sigma/Leica If you want to go full frame

SrMi Posted August 3 Share #4 Posted August 3 There are some limitations on which operations work with APS-C lenses. I do not remember them, though. Lumix 20-60, 24-60, and Sigma/Leica 28-70 are all lightweight zoom alternatives. Of course, using lightweight primes is another possibility for a lightweight setup.
