i have the focus set to manual , and the peaking set to white , but there is no peaking when the image is enlarged .

i also tried automatic focus , but still no peaking . is there something i am missing ? i don't need this very often ,

but it would be nice to have .

What do you mean by automatic focus (on a Leica M.......)?

in the menu under focusing aid , there is automatic and manual . if you use automatic , when in live view , when you

focus the lens , the image magnifies . with manual , you have to push the front button to get magnification .

With what lens? It doesn't work with all lenses. The lens has to have enough contrast and sharpness (my guess).
It works with my Leica-lenses, but once I had adapted a old Minolta  1,8/50 mm. With this nothing shows up.

Even with the sharper lenses, focus peaking is too discrete on my M240. And its colors don't help as much as white or yellow for instance. It is not a camera i keep for LV mode though. In RF mode it has not those issues fortunately.

Same thing with my Summar. The camera has some high standards regarding its preferred lenses.  😂
