FlashAndPoof Posted July 8 Share #1  Posted July 8 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thinking of acquiring a Leica MP and curious what brass lenses you guys like for film. If I get a black paint MP, I might want to send a lens off for black paint work which is why my preference is for a brass lens.

FrozenInTime Posted July 9 Share #3  Posted July 9 It does seem like a deliberate, cruel joke that the black paint on brass MP camera is the most popular and common production item, yet all brass and black paint lenses are scarce, or such limited edition collectors items, that few will ever likely to receive extended wear and tear. I don't see many users posting wear and brassing on their Voigtländer black paint lenses.
TomB_tx Posted July 9 Share #4 Â Posted July 9 Some of us don't like "brassing" and prefer to minimize such things.
